Kibaki’s Stand on Mugabe
June 24, 2008 by Poipoi
Just the other day, Kenya was in political quagmire, people died, burnt alive, others relocated with no promise to move back. Many leaders across the world uttered words of dismay and shock that Kenya of all countries was going through such a “Democratic Initiation”…..for lack of a better term.
Having experienced that, Annan and friends came together to seek a political solution…leading to the GRAND Coalition.
Fast foward to the situation in Zimbabwe, WTF is going on? I hear countries rebuking Mugabe for not welcoming the will of the people and causing deaths here and there…but where are the “peace brokers” - the equivalence of Annan, I don’t see any representatives from the West trying to make this old man behave.
Here are a few things we need to remember; the Situation in Darfur….see ..the Janjaweeds have caused a lot of pain to the locals, the situation in Rwanda….escalated when the world left the Rwandese to solve their own problems; the situation in Sierra Leone - it’s even worse to describe it and Now Zimbabwe, I hope SADC, UN & the African Union are not waiting for a Miracle to happen bacause this old man is not backing down!
As for Kibaki and his Grand Coalition, his stand on the situation in Zimbabwe needs to be made clear - whether he supports Mugabe’s regime or not. Fact remains we don’t have a foreign policy in place that governs ‘civil nations turned rogue’ but that does not mean our President is mum aboout this madness!…
Hit me hard…let me read your thoughts from ya’ll!

I’m going to be harsh, strong and very categorical with the way I word myself here.
Robert Mugabe is a total nonsense, a shame and the worst thing that Africa as a continent need right now. He should look at himself straight in the mirror and scorn at himself.
How will he explain the barbaric acts and atrocities that he has committed to his own people and blood?
How will he explain his narrow sighted economic decisions that have brought an entire once booming economy down on its knees?
How dare he utter so foolish words that it’s only God-who-HE can get him out of the presidency!
Look at Zimbabwe now…
its inglorious leaders like Robert Mugambe who make the rest of African leadership, its citizens and the rest of the African continent to look stupid and a laughing stock to the rest of the world.
He should be condemned, isolated and totally alienated by any self respecting Nation.
