GEMA a Voice for the Kikuyu
June 2, 2008 by Poipoi
Most Kenyans, old and young alike adore the Kikuyu not because they have dominated the higher echelons of the government but because of their entrepreneurial endeavors. This in no way is blank statement but a fact that the Kikuyu are hardworking and independent in nature, to sum it up most Kenyans are how calculative and economically cunning these people are!
Having said that, we also have to agree that the same adoration is sprinkled with so much hatred that some people dream of driving this community to extinction. In the wake of last years election many of them were driven from across the nation where they had resided for half their lives.
For better or worse, the true venom of many Kenyans spilled over as everyone unleashed their wrath on the Kikuyu. Speaking of these independent people, one cannot rule out the fact that they are also suspicious of any attempts to unite them or is it the fear of what they can do as a group?…considering their individual achievements?……………
This may as well be the reason why they face so much hatred to counter the ODMers who are now part of the government! Maybe this going to see GEMA…a silent group that is now trying to speak loudly as a show of solidarity lest the feared silence be mistaken as a sign of extinction!
